TexasDawg Posted October 3, 2006 Posted October 3, 2006 What's the golden color on the motor covers? Is it an anodized color or painted on color on an 03'? I checked colorrite and they only list the black color for the panels and the frame color. I "scratched" my alternator cover on the garage floor! I checked the search pages but, couldn't find any paint answers having to do with the clutch/alternator cover color,,, I wonder if the carbon fiber vinyls would stay on or would the heat melt them off,,, [attachmentid=3784] Quote
Guest rockmeupto125 Posted October 3, 2006 Posted October 3, 2006 The carbon fiber covers that glue on hold just fine. The black alternator covers are paint. I'm not sure what the "gold" covers are. Quote
XXMAN Posted October 3, 2006 Posted October 3, 2006 Just paint them black it will make it faster lol. Quote
redxxrdr Posted October 3, 2006 Posted October 3, 2006 I don't know what the gold is. But it will stain with the wrong cleaners. Post up if you find a matching paint. Quote
TexasDawg Posted October 3, 2006 Author Posted October 3, 2006 Hmm,,, if it stains with the wrong cleaner, it may annodized. Still trying to find out,,, Quote
Redd Posted October 3, 2006 Posted October 3, 2006 One of mine is painted black and the paint is all chipped off. The other is gold. Im in the same boat as you trying to decide what to do with them. Quote
