29ci186 Posted July 24, 2006 Posted July 24, 2006 hi de hi...... has anyone heard of temp rising 3c when you turn lights, and it drops 3c when ya turn off lights i've checked charging system the r/r appears to be putting out right voltage found connection block one pin has burnt/brown marks on it battery is charging alright, Quote
SBBXX Posted July 24, 2006 Posted July 24, 2006 does it do that at hwy speeds too, or just in the city? Have you got high-wattage (100w) bulbs in there and are you running with your hi-beam? The alternator will be harder to turn with a heavier load, which would account for the temp increase. I would check the condition of the battery too. it wouldn't hurt. If it's 4 yrs + old just replace it. A weak battery will suck the life out of you electrical system. Quote
davesXX01 Posted July 25, 2006 Posted July 25, 2006 Remove, clean, replace all your grounds! Sounds like you have a cross feeding problem there. Also check your voltage drop between your battery and headlamp and headlamp switch. It sounds like you are from overseas or have a euro switch so take your switch housings apart and clean your contacts and check your wires. Dave Quote
