Mikey Posted December 29, 2004 Posted December 29, 2004 I got my reg/rec!!!! Now I have a bunch of wires that I have to connect to the reg/rec without the plug. Can someone post pics of the end of their plug with colour references so I can make my own? I'd appreciate it! I'm soooooo close! Quote

Mikey Posted December 30, 2004 Author Posted December 30, 2004 cool. I think I'll wire that up tomorrow. I might get my Dec ride in after all. Quote
Pete in PA Posted December 31, 2004 Posted December 31, 2004 You don't have snow yet??? Quote
Mikey Posted December 31, 2004 Author Posted December 31, 2004 I'm in Canada, of course I don't have snow yet...Crap, can't keep a straight face. Yah, we had a shit load, probably whatever you had. Temps rising here, it's suppose to be +11 (that's 11 degrees over pure water freezing for those not following the other thread), or 51.8F today. I'm just working in the garage and waiting to see if my flat battery will take a charge, or if the rec/reg killed it. Otherwise I'll miss my Dec ride. :[ Quote
Mikey Posted December 31, 2004 Author Posted December 31, 2004 Ok, so it doesn't matter order of yellow, but there is still a red and a green. Can someone tell me the order it is on a OEM reg? If you look straight at it mounted with the plug facing up, which side is red? ie is it: R G Y Y Y or G R Y Y Y I'm soldering now, please let me know ASAP! Tanks :] Quote
Mikey Posted January 1, 2005 Author Posted January 1, 2005 Damn it, I'm blowing main fuses all over the place. Looks like the Y's do matter. I've run G and R then R and G, but still blow a fuse either way. Can someone confirm my colours? Both of the URL's offered don't show XX regs, I need an original for colour comparison. Quote
Involute Posted January 1, 2005 Posted January 1, 2005 That IS an original R/R from a 98 model. If you look closely you can see the colors Quote
Mikey Posted January 1, 2005 Author Posted January 1, 2005 looks like yellow with white strip. I can't make out the back row  Quote
Involute Posted January 1, 2005 Posted January 1, 2005 Back row is Green on left, Red on right when looked at exactly like the picture. Good luck and happy New Year. Quote
Mikey Posted January 1, 2005 Author Posted January 1, 2005 I'll give that a shot today. Thanks! Can you confirm if those yellows are pure yellow, or do they differe from each other? Quote
Mikey Posted January 1, 2005 Author Posted January 1, 2005 Thanks Joe! That did it. I must have double changed them around when I was testing the two ways. So I grounded, then grounded. Yahoooooo!!! I gots myself a XX again! Quote
