  1. Well, turns out it was a pinched tail signal light wire, when the givi bags were installed the wires were pulled just a hair tight and rubbed on the edge of the givi frame, when the rear right signal light bulb was removed, everything worked fine. Followed the wire about 6 in from the light and voila there it was, a tiny little rubbing area. All is good with the world and I think the Bird runs a lot faster as well. Thanks for the suggestions guys. Slowphil
  2. Posted this question before but have more information now. 03 XX, coming to a stop the engine dies, now have discovered that there are no turn signals and no brake lights as well. Pulled the seat off to have a look and found that while the bike is idling and you put on the front or back brake it kills the bike. The brakes seem to be activating the fuel cut off relay, the relay makes a slight noise while the bike is running but when you put the brakes on immediate silence and the bike dies. Anybody know where to start looking for the problem? Thanks Slowphil
  3. Red is the hardest colour to get even. The place you bought your paint should have told you to prime the walls with a gray tinted primer, this is the only base coat which will give you an even cover with red. Slowphil
  4. 03 Bird stalls as soon as the engine idles down, just after pulling in the clutch when coming to a stop. Bike was fine, didn't ride it for about 3 weeks, the next time I rode the stalling started happening. Any ideas what to start looking for. I tried grinding my teeth and banging my head against a wall but that didn't help. Thanks Slowphil
