  5. Ok so i changed my mind i am going to try and sell the bird and this is the first place i will list it because i would like to see it go to another bird lover. I am selling the bike because i want to move to the west cost. The bike is a 1999 CBR1100xx almost mint more mint than not. With 17XXX miles. It has DandD slipons PCII and peg lowering brackets, corbin seat. I will include the following with the asking price. Cover, Batt. tender, both seats, two service manuals one honda the other is a Haynes manual. I am asking $5000 i will work with anyone. I cant deliver the bike is located in Lake Mills Iowa. Right by the Iowa and Mn Boarder. This is the best bike i have ever owned i just need to sell it so i have one less expence in moving. The bike also has maybe 1500miles on new Michelin Pilot Powers new chain and rear pads i have new pads for the front but the bike doesnt need them yet. I will post pics later. There is one on my profile. also i have pics here: myspace.com/hale_cooley Thanks!! Hale Cooley
  6. I love titanium such a beautiful bike. where were the pics taken at?
  7. 3rd gear wheelie hmmm on your xx... with what mods? :icon_think: I would call bull shit but i am not sure i have never tried in 3rd.
  8. hi, i have a 99' black bird with 17xxx miles. It is almost mint. There are only a couple of scratches on the mirrors never been droped. Winter is coming and i live in northeren Iowa. The bike will be stored in a non heated garage. I wanted to see what you guys think i should do to winterize it. I just turned 22 so i dont know a whole lot about motorcycles. I grew up on dirt bikes and this is the fourth bike i have had. I would like to winterize it so if there is a nice day then i could just take the cover off it and go ride but some people say to drain all the gas out of it and stuff so idk thats why i am asking my fellow bird lovers... Thanks for the advice Hale Cooley oh and if you were wondering the bike was stock except for a corbin seat when i got it. All i have done to it is DandD slipons powercomander and new Michlien Pilots. also peg lowering brackets i still havnt gotten the DandD map for the commander i had some one on here email me some but i opened all of them up and none of them were for DandD. I want to do all i can to make it more comfertable but it takes money. I could barley aford the bike but a 99' mint with 15,000 well maintained for $4500 i thought it was a pretty good deal. I have always enjoyed this cite. I log on here every day to see whats new. Thanks again
  9. no i havnt opened every one of them up yet cause i was planning on doing it at work but because of bad weather and stuff i havent drove my bike to work all week. I have been really busy any ways with stuff at work so thats the last place i wanna be in my free time. Ya know. But ya i will keep ya updated thanks for asking!!!! Thanks again for the help!!! Hale
  10. Hey if you would take the time to do that it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks alot Hale
  11. Hi does any one have this set up. 99 bird with DandD slip ons and a PCII. I have been unsucessful with trying to download the map from the power commander web site. I am not sure why but it says the file is corrupt i think it is because i have a PCII. I live in small town iowa and there are no real good tunning shops from what i have seen or herd so i am trying to just do it my self. Suggestions, tips, Thanks Hale
  12. ok so i for sure need a laptop Damn it i didn't know that I feel really dumb now :icon_banghead:
  13. hey i have some dumb questions about using the PCII version of the power commander. I just bought one and was thinking about putting it on but i wanted to down load the stock map on to it. I followed all the directions and watched all the videos on the cd and the power commander site. Do i have to have the power comander installed on the bike to do any down loads cause i dont have a laptop... :icon_think: Cause when i tried to do the down load with just the pcII hooked to the computer it said power commander not found when i press the upload all button or the get all button on the power commander control center . What the hell am i doing wrong!!!! :icon_banghead: And no one that i know personally have done it this way everone i know just has the dealer work on it. I am a mechanic in a very small shop in a very small town in Iowa, so i dont have easy access to advice and i am normally the one giving it. anyways help if ya can thanks Hale Cooley 99 bird black
