I know my reply might be late lol but I’ve just come across this discussion here in the UK. I took my 2005 XX Blackbird to Germany where it’s legal to exceed 70 mph and opened up on a fairly clear stretch of Autobahn and topped 190 mph with throttle left. I had calibrated my Speedo through a GPS so I’ve allowed for this. But for a cross wind I’m confident my XX would hit 200 mph.
This is a polite post from a biking enthusiast of 40+ years.
I’m currently examine Bonneville records, as there are so many, that might be achievable using a ‘modified’ XX Blackbird as it’s a lifelong dream to go there and achieve something.
Even reaching the 200 mph Club would be great
