  1. Despite what others might say - it has definitely helped me lose weight.  I burn calories walking... that in combination with a healthy diet definitely helps you maintain a particular weight and if you walk a lot - helps you lose weight.

How do I know this for a fact - I lost weight when I started walking more than just a stroll.  Yesterday I walked 8 miles. I walk 16 minute miles. I burned 780 calories.

I do that 3-5 days a week.  So, 2340 to 3900 calories a week.  If I don't eat like a pig I will lose weight.

So... I went in several months from 240lbs down to 205 - but depsite doing all the same things I'm pretty stuck at 205. I do have a scale that measures body fat and its slllllloooowly coming down even though weight remains the same. I'm doing big league workouts 3+ days a week - cardio heavy and often exceeding 1200 calories in 90 mins.

I'm frustrated a bit because I really want 5 more pounds - I had set myself a goal to see 199 at least one more time in my life.

The stall happens to me all the time.  What I do... I fast for 2 or 3 days (water only) and put's my body back on track forcing a major calorie deficit and the engine burning again.

  3. I haven’t had red meat since my Heart Attack (steak, burgers, hot dogs) and I’ve made the decision to completely cut out desserts, sugar, sweets, and any type of sugary food this past Saturday.  I had a bowl of ice cream Friday night and it just instantly makes me feel like crap. For me - it’s all or nothing - so I’m choosing nothing.

its not bad. I question the over all nutritional value but they seem to be working for me.

Cardiologist, Nutritionist my General and a few other doctors in the family all highly recommended it after my Heart Attack.  Works for me too.
