  1. Recently my central air system has been "freezing up"...that is, it'll cool the house to a certain temp (around 75F), then where the big, insulated line and small diameter line come into the unit on top of the furnace from the outside compressor will start frosting and icing up, and eventually the air stops flowing through the whole system. I've changed the filter, cleaned out the drain line as best I could, and even installed a new thermostat. Any ideas? The system is 16 years old, but i sure don't want to have to replace it now. Any suggestions would be welcome :icon_think: Cheers, Tom
  2. I've got a sale pending, but I'll let you know if it falls through... Cheers, Tom I'm pretty sure I have a few stock mufflers sitting in my gayrage, in decent shape. Send me a PM with an offer and I'll figure out shipping.
  3. Selling a stock exhaust set from my '02 'Bird. They're in decent shape - no dents, normal finish after 2000 miles or so before I took them off. $75 OBO takes them home, but I'd rather not ship them . That would cost extra. I live in Cincinnati and travel for a living, so if you're in the states, chances are I could get them close to you eventually. Email me for pics if you're interested. Cheers, Tom dlrobbins@fuse.net
  4. Ebay now, baby! http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Givi-E360-M...sspagenameZWDVW Cheers, Tom
  5. E360 side cases are still available, now $340 + shipping... Cheers, Tom
  6. I have two E360's and one V46 FS, all in gloss silver, excellent condition, never down or dropped, one year old. Twisted Throttle lists the E360's for $252 ea. in silver, and the V46 for $275, and mine has the deluxe backrest. All are keyed alike. I'll sell the E360's for $210 each, or $390 for the pair. $225 for the V46, or $550 for all three, shipping extra. Email me at dlrobbins@fuse.net. Cheers, Tom
  7. I bought the bike last year with just under 1000 miles on it , and it's now got 7900 miles. I did what you suggest, and there don't seem to be any tight links when I rotate the wheel slowly, either. I lube the chain after any ride in the rain, and otherwise wait until I can feel some slightly rough feedback when I let off the gas while still in 4th, 5th, or 6th gear and coast. This always disappears when I lube the chain, and served me well as an indicator on the VFR I owned. One thing I'm trying this time is a different chain lube. I was using Honda HP Chain Lube in the red can, but switched this time to Bel Ray Super Clean chain lube. I never tgought the Honda stuff lasted all that long, and seemed to attract a lot of dirt. Who knows how the Bel Ray stuff will work... Thanks for the info! Cheers, Tom
  8. I cleaned and lubed the chain on my '02 today and checked the tension. I think it's right where it should be, and well within the limits for stretch (as it should be with only 7000+ miles on it). When I ran the bike in gear on the centerstand, though, there seemed to be a little jerkiness and vertical movement now and then above the chain pad on top of the swingarm. When I rotate the rear wheel by hand, I can't detect any sticky links. This is the first time I've run the bike in gear on the centerstand (I've only owned it a year...), so maybe this is normal, but I'd like to know if I've got a wonky chain. Any thoughts? Cheers, Tom
  9. Mr. BE, Isn't it obvious that Loctite Blue is THE answer for making tires even stickier? Cheers (and thanks for the responses), Tom
  10. I Just went with this setup today, and am wondering what psi you guys run your Pirelli's at. I use my bike mostly for commuting, but on some fairly twisty roads. I'm about 210 lbs. geared up, and have a full complement (3) of Givi cases mounted. If I'm on an overnight trip, add another 25 lbs for my crew bag. I always wear a smile when I ride my 'Bird to work... Cheers, Tom
  11. After some more research, I decided to go with the Diablo front/Strada rear. What PSI's are you guys running on these tires? I ran the factory recommended 42psi front/back on the stock Dunlops, but what's the story on the Pirellis? Thanks for all the advice! Cheers, Tom
  12. I took the wheels off the '02 'Bird today to get new tires mounted, and noticed some red threadlock on the brake caliper bolts. Should I put new threadlock on when reinstalling? Red or Blue? Hopefully the owners manual will have the correct torque values... What's the prevailing opinion? By the way, I'm still trying to decide between Pirelli Diablos, Diablo Stradas, and Pilot Power 2CT's. Any thoughts? I got a little over 5000 mi on the original Dunlop 207's. ( The bike was new to me last summer w/ 900 miles on it) Cheers, Tom
  13. Is that located right next to the 7th fetzer valve? I know it's all ball bearings now, but I can't believe it's that bad... Cheers, Tom
