He was drunk enough to bite.  Expected arguments ensued.  I dug a hole behind a cactus, stuck a disposable camp bowl in it, and filled it.  I don't think he'll ever be the same, and nobody has told him the truth.

I have no info on taking Meth Blue (isn’t that what they made in Breaking Bad?) but this is fucking hilarious!

I’d say if you are looking to take this stuff and want pharmaceutical grade, perhaps you should talk to your pharmacist.

  2. "Measles is characterized by a rash that appears on the face and progresses down the body several days after initial symptoms appear — generally between seven to 21 days after exposure. It can be life-threatening, and is more severe in children. The disease spreads through the air when someone coughs, sneezes or talks"

Are you concerned about measles? Are you fully vaccinated for it or not?

I am of an age that I got one shot for it when I was wee, am looking to get a second shot this month. There has been a confirmed case in my city recently.

  3. So I'm a month and a week into this and it has been slow to heal. Pain is minimal now thank god. My right arm is still quite weak and tires very easily. I can lift a gallon of milk with it but I don't trust it yet to go for a bicycle or motorbike ride yet, it's too weak. By the end of the day my neck is still feeling it on the right side and it is tired of holding up my head. Thumb, pointer finger and middle finger on right arm are still mildly numb. Sleeping through most of the night again but do start tossing and turning in the early morning hours are the pinched nerve says "I've had enough of laying down".

I noticed mid-morning yesterday that I had some visible yellowing happening on the fingernails of my 3 numb digits.

I got a little panic'd about it and did some googling. There does not seem to be any link to cervical rad & yellowing fingers (phew) but there is a rare condition that can cause it Yellow Nail Syndrome . I did a bit more research for about few hours before I realized the cause of my yellowing was this

    Guessing it was body dysmorphia.

That might explain why today you don't notice yourself when you are walking around wearing a dress and lipstick

    ;)

In all seriousness dropping 10+ waist sizes is kinda nuts. I think I might have some body dysmorphia too. My body weight has fluctuated over the years and sometimes I don't recognize myself in pictures from my skinny times. I'm kinda fat right now but when I look in the mirror I don't really see it; like The Fonz, I wink and shoot a pretend handgun at my reflection. "looking good my man" It's seeing myself in pictures that is the slap in the face of reality.

I was diagnosed with type-2 diabetes already few years ago and I've been on Metformin since day one. Now they added another med for me, which has caused some pretty fucked up side effects, which made me re-think my priorities.

Before I started this journey, I was 121kg (266lbs). No idea what's my waist size, as I never measured it, but big enough that I can't see my dick when going to wee.

Pains all over the body, especially in my back and legs. After standing five minutes, I couldn't feel my right leg.

I was thirsty all the time and didn't matter how much I drink (usually beer), it didn't help the feeling.

Also my blood pressure was still relatively high, even I'm on meds.

Cholesterol is high, even with the medication.

Already now, 6 weeks after starting the new journey, my weight is down more than 10lbs. I got my weight and blood pressure checked last week and I get check-ups every month, when I get new pen of Mounjaro.

I haven't had severe back pains in couple weeks now and I strongly believe that the back pains will go away completely in few more weeks/months.

I wake up much easier in the morning, and don't feel shitty as I don't drink beer anymore every night. I sleep like a baby 99.9% of the nights.

Weight loss will help me also to rediscover my dick 🤣 I've always known it's there, just haven't seen it in a while. Or at least my wife is telling me it's there, hidden underneath all the fat 😉

Target is to get rid of most of my medications after 6 months or so, but let see. Gout might be one that's reversed with this, I've been told. Just as well as type-2 diabetes and cholesterol.

All in all, I'm already now so much happier and feeling better than before, even though I have shit load of other bad things going on right now. But that's another story, for another time.

Those do sound like great gains, LOL @ finding your dick!

Sorry to hear you got other shit hitting the fan but at least it sounds like your health is getting in check quickly. One thing at a time ...

I'm on my second month of trizepatide (Monjauro) and feel like a fucking champion already.

I started losing weight before getting on, but it was painfully slow. After first month, I lost 4.5kg (10lbs) and target is to get at least 25kg (55lbs) off by the end of this year.

One thing pisses me off though....coffee tastes like shit. I've read that some people have change in their tastebuds and it seems that I'm one of them.

On the other hand, no more craving for sweets nor beer 😀

Right on man. What would you say are the areas you feel have improved significantly in your day to day? What's giving you the champion feeling?

What were the diabetic symptoms you had before this treatment that have improved with this treatment?

Yes, but there are so many possible causes that it is hard to chase down. Decreased neck mobility is a significant sign.  If your symptoms are improving with medication and a bit of physio then that's a good thing

Shitty man, I feel for anyone that has had to deal with this. Do/did you have decreased neck mobility? Pain? Numbness? What do/did you find helped the most?

When I went to PT on Tuesday she gave me a second electro-acupuncture treatment which seems to have helped again, albeit not as much as the first time. She had consulted with others on my behalf (after getting my consent) and said I should keep on resting/icing/heat and if I don't see continued improvements over the next 2 weeks that I should see a chiropractor rather than her as the benefits from chiropractic adjustment would be likely best. She said most likely my nerve inflammation was a result of a herniated disc in my neck.

I am still having to only sleep on my back (I'm a side sleeper). For daily meds, I'm down to a single Vimovo before bed but I still wake up from pain ~4am daily and I'm out of bed due to pain before 6am. Takes about 1.5 hours of being upright until the arm/shoulder/neck pain subsides. During that time the pain is intense; I have found myself wincing in pain several times.  Then for the rest of the day it just slight pain, a weak right arm and some slight numbness in first few fingers on right hand. Nerve pain/effects are strange. I did vape a micro-dose of weed yesterday afternoon (higher CBD content) and was surprised at how much better it made me feel.

I'm really hoping I get this behind me soon. I just picked up a fresh battery for the DRZ and we are starting to get some nice spring weather!

Do you have limitation of movement in your neck?

Nope, thankfully not. I actually didn’t take any pills yesterday until a Vimovo at bedtime. Went for a walk in the park with the wife then hit a few breweries up for some suds. Nighttime sucks but during the day there’s minimal pain and really just the weakness in the right arm and a bit of tingling. Next Physio is on Tuesday.

Rockmeupto have you had this before too?

  9. Hey hey,

Have any of you experienced this? I’m one week in and it’s no fun!

Nerve is pinched somewhere near C5 C6 in neck resulting in nerve pain on neck, right shoulder , right upper arm, weakness in right arm and some pins and needles in thumb/first 2 fingers on right hand. The pain is real and pretty intense.

I saw an NP last Sunday and she told me to rest and gave me Rx for Vimovo (for pain) for 2 weeks and Flexiril (muscle relaxation) for a week. The muscle relaxer doesn’t seem to much nut the vimovo has me pain free for about 8 hours; it’s twice a day so it’s supposed to get me through 12 hours. I have picked up some Tylenol No 1’s to bridge the gap. Picked up some high CBD reefer but have not tried that yet.

Went to physiotherapy yesterday and she did some form of acupuncture with electronic stimulation with a TENs. Seemed a little hokey but I did not need the T1 last night and took my nighttime vimovo later than normal.

I’ve been icing and magic bagging too.

I’m not sure what triggered this for me. I think it’s a combo of being more sedentary than normal recently and I was doing some spring cleaning last weekend and got rid of an old dishwasher.

Once this episode is behind me, I want to do what I can so I never have it happen again!

Since this thread I half assedly started using the Lose It app on iPhone to enter what I was eating. The free version tracks calories and macros and some other things. The app also links to Apple Health and in Apple Health I pinned my daily fibre intake log (that comes from the Lose It app) to my main page/summary and yup, not getting enough.

Upping fruits and veggies helps a lot. I love having a cup of frozen peas at lunchtime and I have been trying to have my dinner plate contain half veggies.

I recently grabbed a big box of All-Bran Buds from Costco. I have had 1/2 to 1 cup for breakfast 3-5 days a week for the last two weeks and as a result I think have nearly achieved no wiper shits, 2-3 passes needed at most. I realize it's a pretty processed food but it it doing the trick, it has some psyllium too.

How is your fibre game doing?

Tire talk lead me down a small rabbit hole and I landed on a video from CNBC explaining how EVs are a gold mine for tire companies because they wear tires faster.  One of the reasons given was regen braking because when you let off the pedal on a gas car they coast, but EVs go into regen which adds tire wear.  Fucking morans.

A couple decade ago we had a landlord who drove an early Honda Insight (Gen 1 perhaps, it had half covers over the rear wheels) and I recall him complaining a lot about the tires as they were not off-the-shelf, were some sort of low resistance compound, expensive, etc ...

    Buy them!

I did! They looked new, guy bought them in 2021 for a older Wrangler he had, they were on for one summer.

You're done, but this is for the future or other people.  The weight rating doesn't matter if you don't use it.  Even if you have the "heavy payload package" the lower rated tires will be fine, you just won't be able to use the truck's maximum weight capacity without exceeding the tire's capacity.

This is exactly what I was wondering with original post, thanks. Seemed as such but I didn't want to skirt mfg direction and kill my family! Thanks

  13. Hi,

    So ~ 2.5 years ago I bought a lightly used 2017 F-150, Lariat 4x4 CrewCab with small (5.5) box.

I need tires now and am thinking about saving some $'s by buying used. On the truck (and worn out now & one has a nail in the shoulder) are 275/55/R20 (113T) all season Goodyear Wranglers with some sort of Kevlar component. The door jamb sticker also indicates I need a 275/55/R20 (113T).

I have found a set of Bridgestone Dueler H/L Alenza on the local used market that are 275/55/R20 (113T), used for one season and came off a Wrangler. When I look on the Bridgestone tire finder tool on their website it looks like the used tire set I found is indicated to fine if my truck is 4x4 but not suitable if my truck is 4x4 * "with Heavy Payload Package".

I don't know how to tell with certainty if my truck has a heavy payload package or not. I might try calling the deal with my VIN to see if they can help.

If I find my truck does have the heavy payload package, is it completely dumb to put these tires on regardless? My truck has never been worked in my ownership, I'm an office worker and the most it has towed is a weekend warrior small utility trailer.

New, I'm looking at $1500-$2000 for a set of 4, these used tires are $400 ... there are not many used options for 20" tires locally ...

    Any and all help appreciated

I'm far from an techie expert but if a small start up does not have specific linux specific needs, going the linux route out of the gate seems like potentially uneccessary related headaches at a time when the effort and focus should be on business start up concerns.
