I wish we lived closer to Moriah's sister so we'd have a great supply.  These blue ones are that good though.

I'm guessing that our dogs would love chickens.  Tastes like their dog food.

Coworkers husband went to fill a propane tank at tractor supply last week, forgot about the propane and returned with 15 chicks. She was pissed.

Trying to talk her into needing goats now.

...that's too bad... What does it need?

    ...cycle repair thread anyway...

Meth head nephew crashed it a few times mainly low speed offroad adventures. The electronics are a mess and been cooked, wires melted, ignitor box dead. When my friend dropped it off, he asked me to look at it and the battery terminals were melted off as it was hooked up incorrectly. Chased down a bunch with a multimeter, and while it could be fixed with sourcing parts fried or broken, lots of time redoing wiring harness and such believe my friend would never see it as his brothers bike, just as a mess of what his nephew did to it.

    How many are Hondas?

All good on the home front.

    2 Hondas XX, RC51

There is a 5th bike but it is not mine, belongs to a buddy. Older suzuki cruiser that belonged to his brother who has passed. His meth head nephew trashed it and it will most likely never be ridden again, I'll keep it stored for my buddy till the end of time. Has a lot of problems, but doesn't have the problems mentioned in this thread.

  4. The entire insurance industry is a cash cow scam.

Been dealing with this crap for my wife for over 2 decades, nothing has improved on the insurance side. Her doctor now staffs 2 people full time to just call insurance companies to correct or fulfill their their insane requests that quickly gets lost.

We went on vacation in November, it was 2 weeks prior of the office staff and insurance to fill a prescription on her shot that she has been taking for a year. My wife was on the phone for hours herself, 1hr in the truck as we were heading to PA. They finally have it corrected, 6hrs later as we are heading to dinner the insurance calls to confirm the correction and filling of her prescription that she is going 2 weeks without. The information is still incorrect, they claim the system hasn't updated yet. Then don't fucking call to confirm its fixed and maybe use some of those billions in profits to update your software systems.

  5. Buddy had this issue on an older FZR track bike, bunch of cracks in the boots but still together. He used liquid electrical tape on them, couple coats and reinstalled. Did same for a buddy with an 1985 Honda dirtbike, he was looking to have some guy custom 3D print them until the price was going to be $350. Liquid electrical tape to the rescue.

  6. Ran many types of man lifts in my day, never seen one like that before. Pretty simple and neat design, Doesn't appear to go much higher than your average 8ft ladder but that is also where this can come into play. depending on locations and work needed to be performed the use of a ladder requires 3 points of contact at all time and is not to be treated as a work platform. This would free you from both of those requirements.

That's definitely the problem with Trim Serum.  It looks great, but get it dirty.....ugh.

Since this shit hard-coats and dries, probably not a problem.

good to hear, will toss some in my amazon cart and see how it goes. Now thinking back on the other stuff it was McGuire's Back to Black, used it on my work truck one time and even though it appeared to be dry dust clung to it like a magnet and looked terrible within minutes of being on site.

  8. I have been using SeaLights for about 5 or so years

Had them in my F150 (truck ate halogen bulbs and they sucked to replace)

Got them in my Ram 1500 and in my new F250 and Ram 2500

I use the shop doors at work, park about 15ft away inside where I can kills the shop lights as needed. Mark the cutoff line of the top of the beam with a dry erase marker or blue tape on the door using the oem lights. Install LED's bulbs and adjust the lights to that mark again and go down an extra 1/4" to 1/2" just incase if I have to travel with a transfer tank of fuel or a trailer from time to time. The LED's give plenty of light as it is so not really noticeable and not blinding anyone either.  I turned the ones down even further in my 2500 Ram as I felt they were too bright, never flashed at and that also has a tinted windshield.

only downside if small cars, those little econo boxes. Their roofline barely comes up to my hood and I am sure their retinas are burning as the lights are directly level with their head. I do my best to either stop away from them or move to one side to not give them a full blast of Hiroshima.

    All of them.

My tire changed made a hissy expensive sound.

All the local guys who wouldn't charge me $25 to break a bead were too busy, which is why I have my own equipment so I don't have to chase all over and spend my time waiting for someone else. 🙄

But I have this hydraulic press. Took three tries with the front wheels off the ground before it popped off.

Two more to go. Then I'll change the door handle that broke off in my hand this morning. 🙄🤗🙄

$25 to break the bead? I know the tire machines are expensive but damn. Just had my truck serviced and the airfilter was $63, must have been made from bald eagle feathers.

We used to spray it on the air intake in Crown Vic’s. Or fill the defrost vent with hole punch paper bits, set selector to defrost and fan on high. Imagine the rookie’s face when he turned the key to the on position.

did that to my boss at work, got in the truck and his arms went flying light he was trying to fight a ghost.  I finally told him I did it 8 yrs later. He said he figured it was me, he was driving and hit a pot hole a few yrs later and a few of the hole punches flew out that must of been stuck.

  11. Tire pressure sensor went bad?

Watched one changed last night, then had to be reprogramed to the truck. 5 minutes max

Then again I was at a tire shop, they kind of do them multiple times a day.

I did watch them try to swap out a tire on this 10inch trailer rim, so small the bead breaker couldn't do it, resorted to doing it by hand and when they didn't work they had to cut the tire off the rim. This went on for 30 minutes, then the customer walked in and said if its too much trouble don't bother, will just go buy another wheel and tire combo.

I keep a tool roll in my truck, with a good pair of diagonal cutters.  I'd have it off in 30 seconds.

    cutters?

come on man, got to step up your game. I keep a dewalt with a diamond cut off wheel in mine. Will ask for a gate key at different locations we are working at and when they argue/moan/groan about it I just tell them not to worry, I have a master key already if I need to get in or out. I will put a lock back on the gate for them though, let me know if you need the key.

  13. Thanks for the replies, going to look and see. Might talk with my local guy and see what he plans to do with his air powered machine? He still rides just been retired for a decade or so and really not into tossing and pulling wheels and tires around anymore.

Looked at a couple manual ones of various styles and brands, I have the room for a larger air powered and even the manual ones seem they would be easier to use if you elevated them and gave them a solid mount to work with.

Did see plenty of junk ones pop up as well and people bending and breaking chineasium parts left and right.

  14. Been a while since we had a good tire thread

Looking at multiple websites lately and noticed not only sticker shock but a few sites were just out of stock in many tires.

Any sales going on or new websites people have been using? Typically I run the Bridgestone S21's or S22's depending on bike. Not opposed to to other tires but loved the feedback and feel of the bridgestones.

Tire changers, my local guy is getting up in age and has been my go to guy for a decade. This gave me the idea of just doing my own, will need new tires on both track bikes this go around.

Any recommendations on decent tire changers and balancers?

  15. Most newer vehicles these days have an app you can use to lock/unlock doors, start it up.

My truck will start and depending on the temp turn on the heat or AC to make it comfortable. Not as fancy as a Tesla, we do have equipment at work that has a switch next to the master switch. You press the button and the door opens up for you pretty simple compared to the autonomist loaders and haul trucks coming out now.

I have mild RA, and CBD seems to calm everything when I really overdo it.

Have wanted to try CBD out, which type of do you use and brand?

My company has voiced against the use of it unless it is from a reputable manufacturer as there is a zero tolerance of any drug. Not as if manufacturers are willingly leaving or adding THC in their products. Just havent looked into them to try out anything for joint pain.
