Particularly when used like this, which has held 125 PSI just fine. Not rocket surgery. I wonder what silicone rescue tape could do. Not on a 5k trip though. No. Fuel will, eventually, defeat any silicone. Quote
rockmeupto125 Posted August 25 Posted August 25 I have no time to research, but can't help but think that a hose with the factory disconnects from a later model Honda with similar displacement could be readily adapted, and make life a lot simpler. Quote

Many parts are not only re-used across many motorcycles, but I've bought a lot of parts from the Honda/Acura car dealers. The FI parts I needed for the current bike are from Acura. For the previous XX I got some other parts from the Honda car dealer. Part of the key to figuring this out is removing the last few bits of the part number. 012345-MAT-001 becomes just 012345-MAT or even just the first numbers with "Honda" in front. Get creative. Quote
RXX Posted August 25 Posted August 25 Sort of a moot point. The advice you all gave me was invaluable, all is good now. (AI hope) Quote
rockmeupto125 Posted August 25 Posted August 25 Well, it doesn't apply in your situation, Philip, but using in the impetus from this thread, that might be an option for anyone else who would like to upgrade to a disconnect, or need to replace a failing unobtainable part. In an acute situation, I feel your fix was the most straightforward and approriate. Quote

All truth except I lost the key, not forgot, and I had to remove fuel tank not to hot wire but to fill with, well, fuel. lol. And it was 04 R1, not 16 R1. Kinda like that joke about Soviet era "news" agency TASS. "TASS informed that Ivan Ivanovich won a car" Well, it was all truth except it was not Ivan Ivanovich but Niklai Kalimov, and he did not win but they stole it from him, and not the car but bicycle. 😁 Edited August 28 by tomek 1 Quote

I am going to guess that in the early days of this style BMW engine, it was fairly simple and straightforward. Not anymore. Quote

I've said it before, but I'll say it again. I have no respect for you whatsoever because truth factor in your posts is in negative territory. If it was all just lies it would be zero, but you score below zero. Is every Cuban like that or just you and swamp? All of you are like Castro? Just asking, don't take it personally.
