A few years ago I posted for sale or give away a set of Oxford panniers or saddle bags. I wish I had kept them. I may have, I just can't find them.

Anyway, Side bag options for the Triumph are pretty scarce and I would not mind having a set of small-ish bags to put road kill or trailer hitches in.

I am more price-sensitive than fashion conscious.

Joe, you beat me to it. I also have a couple heavily used soft saddle bags I may never use again.

Phillip, if Joes won't work for you, mine just might. Let me know. Can take pics and text to you.

(kinds hesitant to post anymore photots on .org might break something. 😄

Philip, I think mine are these Chase-Harper Aeropac bags and trunk.  Let me know if you are interested.

Thanks, Joe, but I am looking for something smaller than those.

I don't remember giving my oxfords away, but now that it is daylight savings time I have a but more time to root around before I get all excited.

I still have a substantial inventory of the Ventura Pac Rac but of course would nee d proprietary hardware.

I am miffed that GIVI does not make hardware for the street triple, I have 2 sets of hard cases, but I really do not want to bolt anything on.

I am probably better off just carrying a rucksack with me, I just don't know at this point.

Maybe you're not into either the looks or the form factor, but I'm finding this setup to be SOOO damn useful for anything.  Even big shopping trips.  I've got two sizes and swap them around.  The liners are mildly insulated and help with keeping food cold for grocery runs.

One of the reasons I got this (type of) bike was so I could easily swing my arthritic legs over it and take off. With any top case (I have 2, 1 small 1 large) I will have to thread my leg through the gap. There may be some options, and I am still exploring.

I am not certain that even saddlebags will be free of the drama associated with ingress of the saddle area.

As I was telling Cal, turns out there is not much ass to this bike after all.

I might go out to Vern's and see his and Peggy's setups. They have small top bags fitted to theirs.

I have this bent leg kick that seems to work ok even on the bad knee side.  Also there's no shame in grabbing a foot with your hand, that's what I have to do when there's a 40# bag of dog food on the seat anyway.

Yeah, I can dance to that tune also.

I can't believe you are buying your own dog food. Isn't that what women and sales are for?? Susan would get all sorts of butt-hurt if I did any of the shopping.

Edited - on the bird I can saddle up like a cowboy with one foot on the foot rest. The Triumph seems a little too dainty for that. But then again, I am 80 pounds lighter...... I will try it tomorrow.

You mean, like her making dog food?  That too, both are used.  But shopping?  Man's work, since it's important to do it right.  And cooking for the humans?  Me.

Also, this actually measured only 2357 grams, and I'm not sure how pissed to be, or whether to complain.  And yes, of course we do chemistry/cooking in metric.  She cooks dog food at some exact ratios.

Nice thread hijack.  You started it.

Dog cheese.  Just like the factory farmed birds for the dogs, no way we humans would eat that.  We wrap a pill in it.

I'm not even happy about buying either for the dogs, but, I can't rule everything in the house.  I do make her fill out a PO for it.

After hearing from Phillip, it sounds like the 765 won't accept large saddlebags very well.

Perhaps a trunk is best for him? What is Vern and Peg doing? I forget?

Triumphs have come a long ways.

I have owned BSA's and Nortons. Never again.

Worked on those furks more than I rode them. Electrics AAARRGGGHH.
