Facebook and Instagram links?

Is there a way these could be embedded like we do videos?  I ask because some people post only the link with no description of content…so you have to follow the link to see what it’s about.

No, I assure you, you don't have to.  You can ignore no-context links.

 

In order to embed their links, you have to get a verified business/developer account with Facebook, and load their plugins.  Not all content will embed, and when I looked at doing it, many people were reporting that "most" content fails.  They significantly reduced this functionality to force people to open their site.  Greed and enshitification of the internet.  It seemed like high effort/risk and low gain.

Thanks for looking into it.  I suppose all we can do is not post links without some description as to what it’s about.  Not really practical in the joke thread, though.
