Someone has to make this…I’m sure I’ve seen it at some point in my life.

A garden/utility cart with wheels that lock from a lever on the handle.  This way it won’t roll away (especially downhill) when you aren’t holding on to the handle.  All efforts to search come up empty.  Either these are especially rare or I’m using the wrong search terms.

It super cool to have one that could roll away uphill.

Looks like a total piece of shit and priced to match. Plenty to give you to complain about if you buy it and it sucks as expected - for at least 2 years.

Do it.

It’s not want I want, but it at least illustrates what I’m thinking of.

How about using a 2X4 or 4X4 scrap as a chock?

You could splurge and drill a hole in it and have a tether so it wouldn't get lost.

Speaking of helium, you could tie a balloon to it to remind you that your wagon is chocked, and which wheel is chocked.

You can buy fancy wheel chocks.

You can grab a nearby stick and use it for a chock.

Or a cinderblock or even a brick.

Chock, chock, chock.  Elegant, yet simple.

Simple and a pain in the ass on a sloped driveway.  I would have thought someone would have made a utility cart with a hand brake.  Hell, why not just keep doing the BS of loading everything in the pickup truck and move it 40 feet every time I run out of cord?

What do you need it for?

When I deal with leaves with the blower, I have to bring along the portable generator.  Be nice to be able to just push a cart rather than load up the truck.  A battery blower isn’t that viable because the run time at full power would require multiple batteries…which would raise the price point.

They make some pretty good battery powered lawn tools now.  Maybe you should check it out along with the major convenience factor of not doing what you are doing?  I have never seen a lawn care pro using a plug in (corded) blower.

Nah, too sensible, too modern, not complicated enough.  It's way too easy and would keep this thread from hitting five pages.

Or just use a ratchet strap to hold the wheels, nobody could possibly go wrong with the simplicity of a strap.

Yeah, that’s what I need…yet another item to take up space in the garage.  I already have to pull out a vehicle to get to the mower.

Serious question here, Mike.

You started this thread 3 or 4 days ago. Have you found anything yet? Until you have gone out and spent your hard-earned money, why don't you try a 2 by 4 or 4 by 4 chock? It may be a pain in the ass, but from an efficiency and cost-effectiveness stand point you will spend less time, energy, and money doing that than you will ever be able to do buying one. Please explain your logic.

How can it be a pain in the ass? It is a goddam piece of wood. In a trailer you will be using it on. you have to move a 10-oz piece of wood 3 feet, twice per operation. Yes, you will have to bend down to place and remove it. I can see how that would be hard for a fat-ass like I used to be. But you seem to have good ROM.

I do not buy the pain in the ass argument. That is not anywhere near the real truth of why you won't use one.

Tell you what - tell me how long a piece of 4 by 4 you need and I will mail it to you this week. Pressure treated or plain kiln-dried. I will even drill a hole in it and supply a lanyard of your choice of length. If you choose kiln-dried I will even spray paint that motherfucker with a metal-look green paint or clearish epoxy.

You can choose from cotton/synthetic cord, light chain, or my personal favorite, used lamp cord.

How could this possibly be a pain in the ass?

Edited:

No, I will NOT sand any rough edges or corners.

I was thinking "put a rope on it and you only have to bend down to place it."
