Hey all, just checking to see if there's anyone feeble minded enough to take on one of these projects, or knows someone that might be interested.

I'm clearing out my mother's garage and now have in my driveway a Honda CB350F, a Honda CB350F, and a Honda CB400F.  There's another CB350F waiting to join its brothers but he is a parts only machine.

These are hard to come by in decent condition, and becoming more collectable.

Positives:

*In dry storage for the last 25 years

*they have titles.

*Almost complete and original.  No aborted cafe racer/track turd builds.

Negatives:

*not running

Mostly I'm just checking for interest here as a courtesy before they go to FB/CL/Ebay.   I put them in the garage intending to restore them, but time flies, and my on planet time is getting too short to spend on projects like this. I need the time to fix my toilet.

Let me know if a hint of interest, I can be much more descriptive.

Some interest, and some great fear of another total rabbit hole.  Fuck.  Are they worth...old bike money?  Or collector money?

Way back when I had every one of those models stripped for some repair or another, where are they?

...man, that red Honda is SEXY.

This pic features my Mom on the red bike, and my grandfather and aunt on the other bike. Guessing this was taken early to mid 70s. God bless them as they are all now gone.

I have friend that I connected up to a 400F.

He also has a CB1100RD that I got a header for him. He has a CB900F in GB pearl color and a Candy Apple Red CBX. He's in an east lower Michigan town. He aso has a nice large garage.

He may be interested. I will let him know, if that's OK?

Tim, your mom rode the 750 and her dad had the 550? Seems backwards!  Cool pic!

Bill:  CB400F has 8k miles, I think.  Does NOT turn over. No outward signs of why. Transmission goes through gears and neutral disconnects it from the engine, so it is not a tranny issue. Carbs are long lost, I think I have a set from a CB350F, the only difference is jetting. Tank is excellent, seat is excellent, original exhaust is solid and should clean up nice with minimal surface rust. Other than that, expect the normal needs of a 50 year old bike...brakes rebuilt, new tires, blinker fluid, etc.

Outside in the driveway. In Pannsylvania 18840.

Damn, a bit too far. As I recall, the 350F is as smooth as a pair of humming bird lips.

Hmmm, that's a good catch. Now upon further reflection, thinking my dad must have taken the pic of his wife (my mom) on his 750 while my grand dad was on the 550.

Cool bikes Joe, good luck with the sale!

I feel you, Joe. I am about to do the same for a couple of (not that) old bikes. Sell or give away at a total loss probably.

-1987(?) Yamaha DT50LC

-Unknown year (90's - 2000's) Japanese mfr Honda 50

We used to have time.

So you haven't told us $$ range...

Which on the one hand, is good so I don't get TOO interested.

Do the engines turn?  Did you actually try starting any?

Wish I were closer, I would take them. The 400 is the most desirable.

The only small bore 4cyl of the day and it was an early attempt aimed toward a sport bike enthusiast.

I remember them well. SOHC Honda was my "thing/obssesion" in the 70's.

Shipping would be stupid money. I was thinking $1000 for the 400 or the black 350.  I'll post them on FB for $1500, $2000 if I do a little work on them.  The black CB350F is "anthracite" and was a one year only color.  That one was running, one of our forum members took it for a ride around the block many years ago. It should start with spray gas, definitely will need a carb rebuild. Otherwise in excellent condition with aftermarket 4-2 pipes.  The green 350 does turn over and it should also have the obligatory carb cleaning.

Nick has three projects backed up already.

Yeah, the 400F is really cool. I already have one proje3ckt that's been sitting for years though.

Two yrs ago, I traded a rusty Honda 750 for an awesome Hummingbird Fishfinder. Score !

I will never make that Honda run again. It's froze up. No worries, I have more of them.

UPDATE, I never did get around to listing them. I finally put the 400F on FB and after over a hundred replies with 75 of them wanting to buy it for half of what I listed, it sifted down to 2 people who really wanted it.  Guy drove 500 miles to pick it up and never haggled price. So the 400 is no longer available. Don't have time to list another before our winter vacation.

Thread resurrect!

My very first motorcycle was a black CB350 so I guess it was an F. I got it in a trade for a mid-tier racing bicycle. The motorcycle had been involved in an argument with a telephone pole and lost. The front rim was bent and the bike wobbled until around 40 MPH. I did not know any better and had my mind on other things.

I was a senior in college and rode the hell out of that bike, no problems. No maintenance that I remember. I rode it from Jackson, MS to Plains, GA overnight once, quick weekend trip to see my brother who was employed by Larry Flint as a reporter for a newspaper there (Jimmy was president at the time.)

I was chemically enhanced for the "trip" over if you get my drift. Some memories leave indelible creases in the brain, I tell you what.

Traded that bike for a brand new Bonneville, my only new bike until last month.
