CALCXX Posted August 28 Posted August 28 (edited) I don't use it enough. I always fill it with ice from my filtered ice-maker for hot summer rides. last time used, about two months ago. Stays pretty clean. Cools my back and refreshes me. The reseviour looks nice and clear/clean. The hose has a very light darkening. Vinegar, bleach, acetone, Drano ? Edited August 28 by CALCXX Quote
Zero Knievel Posted August 28 Posted August 28 Looks like mild soap and water. Worst case scenario is to replace the bladder. https://support.hydrapak.com/hc/en-us/articles/115014902848-Cleaning-your-reservoir Quote
rockmeupto125 Posted August 29 Posted August 29 Battery acid. Get it by the gallon at O'Reilly's. Quote
CALCXX Posted August 29 Author Posted August 29 Will acetone work? 😀 My resivour is the Contour II with baffle. Easily reversible for cleaning. Think I might buy the brush they speak of to do a better job on the tube. I used white vinegar last time and several gallons of water to flush. Acceptable but, not like new. Will bleach kill ya? Bleach will not kill you in low doses, you need the right ratio, and it has to be non-scented bleach. We use it in our underground cistern or well holding tank. But, vodka would be my fist chioice 1 1 1 Quote

Attach weight to the line, it, obviously, has to be smaller diameter vs. ID of the hose, let it drop thru the hose. Attach piece of microfiber to the line to the line on the opposite end, and work it back and forth couple of times. It should take care of whatever is in the hose. 1 1 Quote
superhawk996 Posted August 30 Posted August 30 Fishing equipment....shove some catfish bait in it, then you'll realize that it was clean enough and didn't actually need anything done. Quote
tomek Posted August 31 Posted August 31 BTW, it is the best to store that sort of equipment in the freezer. 1 Quote
