SwampNut Posted August 24 Posted August 24 Large dog ball damage. Interestingly there's no smell or anything. I assume gray water not black. Thoughts on a fix? The part broken in the wall is gone, I believe it may have broken before we even had the house, and tossed. The cover barely holds on if I try to put it back. Is there a longer version of the rubber expansion plug? That would fix it. Or just glue the cover to the drywall? Yet another thought is to cut it flush, then put a spacer between the rubber plug and cover, to get it deeper into the cleanout pipe. Quote
SwampNut Posted August 25 Author Posted August 25 Nothing? Maybe I should have posted the dog ball unboxing part that precipitated this? Quote
superhawk996 Posted August 25 Posted August 25 Stop playing in the house before you bust a pipe! I have no idea if a cover with a longer plug is available, that would be an easy fix. Maybe take it to ACE, they usually have someone that's more useful than the HD people, tho they sometimes do have useful people. Or maybe a plain expanding plug to seal the pipe and a little glue to hold the beauty cover on. Quote
superhawk996 Posted August 25 Posted August 25 Maybe shaving the lip off the cover would give it enough penetration to seal. Quote
