SwampNut Posted July 26 Posted July 26 After this group buy, around 42% of the forum will be on Chinese peps. LOL. Anyway, if we have NOT talked directly by PM or texts, PLEASE TELL ME RIGHT NOW if you want in. I really want to finalize this in a couple days. Also... Why are the quantity numbers all non-rounded? That's the actual as-tested amount, not what's on the label. The Tirz was targeted at 60 but the tests show 69% average (with a vial-to-vial variation of <1mg). Similar with Retatrutide but slightly more variation... Oooooh...and bacteriostatic water... Tell me if you need some. I know most of you don't, but likely some do. Quote
SwampNut Posted July 26 Posted July 26 If anyone wants to do dailies like KLOW in a pen, order from here: https://thepeppen.com/ I like the V2. Then watch the video I have on prepping pens, and tell me if you want the 3D printed cartridge holder too. For weekly doses, my opinion is the pen isn't worth it. The convenience for the daily ones is nice, but also just a regular syringe is fine. Quote
Joel Posted August 4 Posted August 4 Well I'm in my second week now of Zepbound and the scale tells me I'm down 11.2pounds. I didn't know what to expect, if anything at all. The first 2 days I didn't experience anything at all. No gut feelings, no cutback from hunger, no decrease in cravings. Day 3 I woke up and felt different. Not hungry at all. Wasn't until about 6pm that I decided I should eat something so I don't start getting headaches, etc... Couldn't eat much, just didn't have a desire to eat. What a weird feeling to not be hungry or even want to eat. 1 1 Quote

Even more weird, wait until Thanksgiving or the Superbowl when you are littered with incredible food....and NON OF IT interests you. That's even stranger. Alcohol, no more for me. Just no desire. Sometimes I can go days without eating....because it simply doesn't rule my thoughts anymore. Quote

This is not meant as a negative, just so you don't fall into a disappointment trap. That is well known to be water and inflammation going away; they are the first to go, not fat. You MAY stall shortly around the third shot which is also when it peaks (the drug doesn't fully build up until 25-30 days). You'll probably settle into a much more gentle weight loss line. Quote

The documented advice, no opinion, is only escalate if needed. MOST people have side effects, Dave is a 1%er. Quote

That's absolutely ok. I can see a difference in the mirror and I feel quite a bit better already and the dr didn't even prescribe the med for weight loss (though I can definitely stand to lose a few dozen pounds) Quote
SwampNut Posted August 6 Posted August 6 12 hours ago, Joel said: Side effects when/if they increase their dose? Or just from taking the med? Side effects are all over the place. Many people get side effects from the lowest dose. Nearly all people get noticeable side effects at 10mg and up. This is from both the studies, and just generally being around the peptide space for over three years and hearing it, and myself. Dave is statistically a 1%er. No side effects at 15mg. Your diet makes a HUGE difference for the gastrointestinal sides. Most people have much worse issues with fried foods, fatty meats, and dairy. People who cut all those out have the fewest GI sides. Also adding magnesium daily and/or docusate sodium as needed helps with constipation. If you have nausea, there are several remedies. All of this depends on you, and if you experience them, post up and I'll have some ideas for you. Some people also face mental/emotional/physical side effects like anhedonia and mild depressive effect, and/or fatigue. The anhedonia is probably related to the anti-addiction properties that tirzepatide has. Quote
DaveK Posted August 6 Posted August 6 12 hours ago, Joel said: Side effects when/if they increase their dose? Or just from taking the med? When you increase you will initially feel a bit of nausea, this is my guess. Maybe even a bit of cramping but nothing that will make you go off of it. Also remember, and I am sure you know this. Any type of colonoscopy or stomach/intestine surgery - you MUST come off the meds completely. Quote

Thanks for sharing it here, I (obviously) was not going to speak about your medical stuff unless you said it first. It is quite common to hit this, I don't recall the percentage. Less than 50%, but common enough to be something to watch for. Quote

It feels like slight depression...like just feeling "blue" - in my head and body. My wife has expressed that she 100% notices a mood change 72 hour post shot...and then I slowly change back to normal. I'm pretty outgoing....and after I take the shot I can notice one thing for sure, when I am in a social situation I never hold back what I am thinking or feeling, regardless of what others may think. I have noticed that "in my head" I say to myself "you know what, I just don't feel like expressing myself because I don't want to have to deal with peoples opinions (maybe this is just a sign of maturity and age) and remain silent. I experience this right after taking the shots....and almost never toward the end of the week. NOW....Carlos recommended that I step down the dose which I have, but haven't seen any change as of yet. But it takes time so I am being patient. 1 Quote
Joel Posted August 6 Posted August 6 So far zero side effects but I’m only 2.5mg injection once weekly Quote
Joel Posted August 6 Posted August 6 I had a fibroscan done a couple weeks ago because my liver numbers weren’t great. Today the results came back to confirm fatty liver but the number isn’t high enough for the insurance to cover the zepbound. Looks like we’re going to use my severe obstructive sleep apnea to try to get it covered Quote

Looks like we’re going to use my severe obstructive sleep apnea to try to get it covered I used to pay $1800/month, then it was $1200 and now it's $495. I have incredible insurance - it's just not worth the fight for me to go through insurance. Quote

It all comes down to your tolerance and opinion on the risk:reward, but as you can see, it's tested. You get already-liquid vials right? This needs to be reconstituted, which is easy, just another step. Quote
