Back in 2019, I bought this pristine trailer from a 75yo army vet who thought it would be perfect for his HD Road Glide when he bought the trailer new in 2014. However, with his hurting joints, bad knees, and fading health, he really struggled to get the massive bike onto the trailer without almost pitching off the side... so he ever only got it on the trailer (with 'spotters' helping him not to fall) twice in 5yrs and put less than 200mi on it until he sold it to me. Although my joints have been fine and I never had a problem getting either the Bird or my K1300GT up on this brilliantly stable/substantial trailer... I. Just. Stopped. Riding. 😢. I only ever used it three times, all for short trips to get to a weekend destination for my scant outings from 2019 thru today... so I put less than 500mi on it. There's barely a mark on the trailer... tires are great... with a new spare... has all cables, ramps, everything. Seriously, it looks like a brand new trailer.

The newest SRL model (which reveals no real change since 2014) is $4,729 on the Kendon website. The economy model, "Go" series, retails for $3,699. Coupled with those new prices, the condition of mine, and AI scouring the web for like listings, AI suggested I set a price of "$3,295 OBO". Huh? I mean, I get it, based on FMV of active SRL-singles listings, perhaps... but seems too high. So I'm going to list here and eBay, FB, CycleTrader, etc. as $2,900 OBO and see what happens.

Passing on my older Kendon trailer. Has some rust but no rot, is strong and used regularly. Rides nice with one or two bikes, and if course hauls anything you can pile on it, not just motorcycles. Folds and stands up for minimal storage space. The caster to roll it around the shop once it is stood up are long gone, put new ones on if you like. Tires are good including spare, bearings are new-ish, one this year, one last year. LED lights might have a couple bulbs out. Clean PA title in my name. Hello strangers! I tried to look back into the Riders Mtg section to determine the last NEXXT I attended and it seems to be 2011... and then I only ever lightly posted and flirted with ideas to rejoin NEXXT in 2021 ish. The backstory of why I disappeared: the combo of (a) Forum changes seemed to 'kill' my notifications (so my move to gmail 15ish years ago halted my alerts from Post replies, etc., could never seem to get it to work), and (b) some big life changes in 2009, 2015 and then 2022 when we relocated to Chicago. Oh, and a fun fact: bought a used 2010 BMW K1300GT in 2017, so that competed with the Bird for my attention. As for Chicago, I moved with the two bikes and my Kendon trailer... but with no room at our city condo, I had the bikes at the motorcycle storage warehouse for these four years... barely riding each only 2-3 times/yr for short rides along the Lake. The high cost of storage and reduced riding had me sell the BMW in 2025. Now it is time to say goodbye to the Bird 😭, as I plan for retirement and another relocation in the next 12mo.

Before I list the details of the bike below, can you give me your advice on these questions:

ChatGPT scoured XX listings for me across all the platforms, compared to my bike's mileage and upgrades and suggested:
List: $6,200 OBO

If someone offers:

$6,000 → I'd seriously consider it.
$5,800 → I'd be inclined to sell if the buyer is straightforward and payment/title transfer are clean.
$5,500 → I'd probably counter at $5,750.
$5,000 → I'd hold unless you're motivated to sell quickly.

I'd consider $5,500–$5,800 the "sweet spot" for the eventual sale
HUH?? Sure many of the other listings have diff mileage (+/-) and upgrades... but these numbers blew me away... thought it would be more like $2500!? Since when has a used 27yo bike ascended in value over the past 10-15yrs?? What did I miss?? Thoughts on AI's suggested listing?
Lastly, besides here in the Forum, any sites I should use or stay away from? eBay... craigslist... CycleTrader... Facebook?

Hey all, trying to get my life moving again.

I can't maintain this fleet of vehicles. If you're in northeast US of A and are looking for a good work truck, this may be for you. Of course, I don't care where you are, but possession/delivery might take some head scratchin' if you're in Kansas.

My Chevy Silverado is on the block. It's a 2500 series, 3/4 ton but it is 2WD, therefore not a 2500HD. Regular cab (2 door), 275,000 miles and has been a reliable, good running truck. It has the 6.0 liter engine, 4L80e trans and 3.73 G80 differential, which means it has a sort of positraction that kinda works. Towing package so it has heavy duty springs and rear disk brakes. It is originally from North Carolina and the frame/body are solid, but after 13 years in the north the rocker panels have rusted through and there is slight bubbling over the rear wheels.

I've put 100,000 miles on it after buying it in 2011. If it wasn't a standard cab I'd never consider selling it. But here we are. Things I remember replacing include the carrier bearing, differential cover, water pump, alternator, radiator, shocks and power window motors because that's a GM thing, apparently. Obviously consumables like batteries and tires. The seats were ripped and I found some nice ones, so they got changed. The AC doesn't work.

It's pulled everything I've put it in front of. Towing a large enclosed trailer at 75mph is 8mpg. I recently towed an 8500lb truck on a 2500lb open trailer from lower Virginia to northern PA and got 12 mpg at 60-65. Empty with cruise set on 55 it gets 19-21mpg, no fooling. Around town is 14.......doesn't go into overdrive until 45mph minimum.
