Hello guys!

I just installed my blackbird(not me,but the dealer) Akrapovic 4 in 1 ,KN filter and Power Commander.Original measured horsepower was between 154-156 and after the installation we made it between 171-173.And that power is measured in camshaft. Is this good or bad?I would like to have some comments people who had made some kind of tuning with their blackbird. What kind of resulst you have got?No i just have to wait spring to come.

Sounds like a good HP increase. But I'm curious how and why you guys measure power at the Camshaft.

Welcome to the Board.
The factory will generally publish horsepower figures measured at the crankshaft. These numbers are generally higher than the results that are shown by chassis dynos, because they do not have any frictional losses from the clutch, transmission, chain, etc.
However, it is not hardly possible for most users to measure crankshaft HP. You need to remove the engine from the motorcycle, and bolt it directly into the dyno.
However, people can make educated guesses as to the crankshaft hp from data generated by a chassis dyno, and the higher numbers always sound much better than the actual figures. What method did your dealer use to arrive at those figures?
