I am struggling to get mirror extenders made
The machine shop that is making them for me has been slammed but promises that he will have them done before the end of the month.

I have extensions on my bike - they were there when I bought it.
My Hurricane suffers from less than perfect rear view mirror placement. I doubt these would be the same size I would need.
Does anyone know what material these actually are?
Delron SiteI have an acquaintance who owns a machine shop here.

The European ones are made out of Delrin
I am making them out of UHMW-PE
(ultra high molecular weight poly ethelene)
UHMW is a little stronger and holds it black color better
Does the signal wiring connecters fit through the holes in those extenders shown above?

yes the wires fit through the ones shown above, A guy here locally machined them. I had 2 sets and one went with the bike when I sold it. I was cleaning out the garage and found these, I don"t have anything they fit so just collecting dust. If no one wants em here will probably Ebay em.

I assume this means all stock length wiring fits and that the mirrors fold up as per the stock configuration?

Hey John, do you by chance have a ballpark figure as to what they will sell for?

Same as they always have been, right around $40.00
These are a good deal depending on what material they are made out of

Probably going to wait on yours. I like the idea of the new material you are using. Keep us updated please.

I found the material properties (I think). It does not address UV resistance.
Acetal (Delrin TM).

I have the delrin ones, and they are good, no discoloration, stock wiring fits, you might have to enlarge the hole a bit to get the wiring bullet through.
(on a 97) fits nice and looks good, makes a big difference.

A tip.
you are going to have to replace the bolts that hold the mirror assembly.
check the length you will need and maybe go to IKEA (metric) if there is one in the area see if they have what you need at the returns service counter.
I am pretty sure they have the bolts with hex/button heads the right length, and they hold up well to inclement weather.
