Sorry for the question but I am at my in-laws and wanted to get some tires on order before I return from the holidays but I couldn't remember what size to get!

Also, I planned on getting the Avon 45/46 combo unless someone has a recommendation for something else considering this will be on a turbo (though small) application.

Thanks!

ya that's right, i just checked honda's site.

for a turbo application, wouldn't you want a softer tire so it'll hook up better with less chance of spin?

don't get me wrong, i LOVE the 45/46 combo. there is no other tire in my mind.

Great, thanks.

Yes, I am worried about the wheel spin.

so get sport compounds. not sure what avon's sport compounds are called, but the BT010 are CRAP and should be avoided at all cost.

I'd go with the 49/50 combo, or 45/50 if you just want a stickier rear tire.

That'll be my choice next time around, as the 46 seems a bit slick to me, but the 45 has not been an issue at all.

Personally, I'd go with the 49/50, but I haven't tried the 49, yet. It just makes sense to have them both a bit stickier. My 39 was absolutely great, and lasted 11K!

A newbie says:
" Can someone explain the tire treadwear ratings for bike tires?"

I'm guessing that's the 49/50 combo or 45/50 is what's being referenced here...........................

Answer to my own question?

"Get the Avon 45, 46's.......you wont be disappointed. Great wet and dry grip( all the way to the edges). I'm on my first set but look to be doin great on mileage." from the tire thread..................
