Instead of invading other people's posts, I figured I would start my own.
I peaked at 238 after the holidays. I swore I would never get in the 230's and there I was with 240 pending. I am pretty luck as the weight is in the mid section and then very light sprinkled around. How did I get there? Soda's and Ben & Jerry's. Michelle's craving during pregnancy was simply dessert. ANY dessert. We were packing it in every single night for months and then my poor habits over the holidays was the last straw.
I had already quit smoking and then cut cigars down to 1 or 2 a month once Addison was born. Then the week before Christmas, I got the email from the YMCA that we used to go to that said they had free sign-ups if we join before the end of the year.
We walked on before New Year's day, signed up and the first week after New Year's we got back into it.
3 to 4 times a week since. Dropped 10 the first week and then a little bit each week since. Sunday's are my weigh in's. Last week I was at 217.8. My goal is to be around 190 to 195. Weight loss is the biggest goal right now and then becoming more athletically strong with maybe a little upper body mass is the next step, but I am mostly concerned with getting down to a good wieght and staying there.
My eating habits have drastically changed. Meal portions are controlled, I am actually eating breakfast now, and I read every label which I NEVER did before. After buring 30 minutes hard on the elliptical, I think twice about the calories that I put in, because I know how much mork it takes to burn it off. No Soda's at all since Jan 5th. Not even a sip. When we have desserts, its low fat frozen yogurt in a small cup (150 calories) compared to a pint of Ben & Jerry's which was about 1300 calories and 140% of the Daily % of fat....and holy carbs!
216 is my first milestone. I weighed in mid week at 215.6 so a good workout today should get me there
200 is my next milestone and then 5 pound increments from there.
At 190 I can actually order my Christmas Present which was a set of custom fitted leathers for the racetrack.
Lastly, I need to pick up a tape so I can start keeping measurements
