I finally picked up a set of E41 at the stealer's today.
Since im cheap and like building stuff i'm going to build my
own racks , similar to five stars most likely in stainless
to match my lugage rack.

MY question to those of you that have givi bags is ..
Is there anything you would change about your current racks if you could ? position fore and aft up or down, ?

anything else you can think of ???

Thanks

i have a wingrack and i'd say the sidebag location is perfect. high enough not to drag, back far enough not to interfere with the passenger.

Yea, what he said.

I have the E41 bags and they are pretty wide and big. When I first put them on, I went riding and looked in the mirror and thought someone has pulled up behind me really close, looked like the hood of a car right on me. I do like that on a ride I can put 2 helmets per bag and my coat and chaps and other stuff in the other and still have room for more. I really like that it has keyless entry on the side so you can get the small/medium stuff in or out.

If I had the extra $$, I'd get a smaller set to use on daily rides and save these for weekend rides or longer trips.

The WingeRack does look good on the Bird and is very well made.

Good luck in your endevor, take lots of pictures for the rest of us to see how it's done and what it looks like in the end.

I'd tilt the Wingrack a bit If I could, to give it a bit more sporty "look".
But the E41's look 'faster" than E360 anyway

Check the pictures....

The blue XX has custom mounts !

You may want to buy two of these from GIVI. They are the hardware kits for the Wingrack, the latch, posts and rubber bumpers. You'll need two kits.
Part# E115-F1 $8.10 each....

I have a Givi rack with 3 bags. What I didn't like was that the top tray was too far aft so I turned it around 180 degree so that it's now sitting closer inward. However, the notches that accommodated the nuts no longer matched so I had to make some aluminum spacers to remount the top tray.
It looks better this way (for me).
