well, not that I expected EVERYTHING to work perfectly after being run off the freeway on my bird, BUT since the crash my Hawkeoiler has decided to run continuously at about 1/3 the rate (like a leak).

the pump is not actuated.
there is no visible damage to any of the lines or pump or oil container
i've diddled with the little stop valve thingy...

so for now, i'm running it dry, and will try starting over.

the bike ended on it's side, no oil leaked at the time of the accident except a little tiny bit that came out the pinhole on the resevoir.

ideas? i'll take any thoughts at all to think this thru as i'm tired of moving the little piece of cardboard i have to keep under the chain now while the bike is parked at work!

Is that pinhole vent clear now?

It could be that the oil is warming up, and has nowhere to expand. Try removing the cap from the reservoir, and listen for a pressure release.

I'll check the pinhole out!
Last weekend I let it sit, cap off the res for about 2hours. Last week it was definitely dripping faster, so the pinhole may be the trick... maybe it's plugged?

thanks!
