This appears to be linked to the "Mark All Posts As Read" feature. Just in case anyone wanted to look into the bug itself.

I just noticed mine says -5. Don't how long it's been that way.

Well, I fixed it the old fashion way.

I sent myself 5 messages.

Back to 0 :-)

I did that originally... sent myself two messages, zeroed it out.

Then last week it went to -4.

So now in order for me to have 0 show up when I have no new messages, I have to have 6 messages I sent myself to zero it out.

You know, this is probably a minor glitch - but it isgetting old... My tool bar has been consistently reporting "-3 New Messages" no matter what corrective actions I attempt. Clearly this is something that only our esteemed administrators/tech wizards can address on their end... We'll try to be patient while you guys solve this issue... er, at least I think most of us will be patient...
