Selling our 1997 CBR 600 F3
Bike has a fresh oil/filter change, fresh coolant, good tires, good brakes and what appears to be the original body work.
We bought the bike a few years ago for use by the kids (XXTailwieght and Will) and has never been down in our possession.
We changed out the slip on with a Jardine RT1 and it has Pirelli Diablo tires on it.
Mileage is at 32,000 (or a bit more) and the bike has not been ridden at all this year. In fact it has been sitting on the dealers floor since last Sept/Oct. The bike rides nice and once ridden, you will know it has been taken care of. Some of you may remember the bike from when Suz and I met a few of you at SeXXt a couple of years ago.
The history of the bike as I was told from the previous owner is that she used it for an Instructors Bike during MSF Training and the Harley Riders training, so to call it a "track bike" is a misleading statement. The previous owner had a V-Rod for a street bikle and used this one for instructing classes at the local tracks. It was stored at the local Honda dealer and taken care of by them as sort of a sponsor arrangement. When I went to look at it, I rode it for less thna five minutes and knew it was a keeper. Suz would like something a little less demanding (an SV650 icon_biggrin.gif ) and seeing the general populace up here rides either Hardleys or Metric Cruisers, there has been lots of lookers but no buyers. Mostly kids that can't afford the insurance. Along with the bike I have a spare gas tank (very good condition, no rust or dents but stripped), two used lower fairings and one side of the rear cowl sections. I also have an H4 HID kit (never installed), a new Diablo front, and a new rear sprocket (Think it's a Vortex - to lazy to go look) and whatever other parts I have laying around. Kelley book on it is $3290 and Motorcycle Consumer News put it at $2900. Asking $3000.00 but am somewhat negotiable. Bike can be delivered to NeXXt or anywhere along the way for no charge as long as it is at that time. I will help with delivery any way I can. Would be willing to trade for something like an SV or Nighthawk. PM me if interested

Charlie, I bet I could sell that here on Craigslist. If you get no takers, let me know, we'll work out some way to get it here, or over to Milwaukee, or maybe Chicago.

Thanks Rich - lets see what happens

Just so everyone knows, the pictures I uploaded are from when we bought the bike with the "old pipe"
The link takes you to the dealers site with current pics. The bike looks the same as when we bought it
Clean! Also, the windsheild on it in the link is a cheap double bubble - stock screen comes with it too

I've seen the bike in person and can verify she be clean and pretty. Somebody buy this beauty!

You wouldn't by any chance have an extra Regulator/Rectifier hanging around, would you?

My cousins (with an identical bike) just roasted and he would like to get a honda replacement.

Thanks!

I have a perfectly good one that I will sell your cousin for $3000.
It comes in a nifty wrapper that is black, red and white with two handy wheels
to roll it around on. Even has it's own four cylinder sound system evilgrin.gif

Sory, no I don't have an R/R laying around

Tell your cousin to buy Charlie's, and I'll give you a quarter for the dead bike.

(friendly bump for a fine bike)
