It seems like there are a lot of people interested in passenger foot peg lowering brackets so to keep the other thread dedicated to the front I am starting a new thread.

It will take me some time and probably a few different styles of bracket as I'm sure everyone still wants them to fold up when not in use, before I get one that I like.

Post up here if interested in some and if you have any ideas you'd like to share, feel free!

I'll definitely take a set. The only feature I would like to keep is the one you already mentioned- being able to still be able to fold the pegs up.
Para045
Would you be looking to use the stock rear footpegs and lowering them or using front pegs icon_confused.gif
Either way would be great, just curious as to which as the missus asked why the rear pegs weren't rubber topped as well icon_surprised.gif

Depending on cost I am potentially in for a set.

Only in my head, and thats cloudy right now!

Me too Dave, can't believe how good your front pegs have been for me. Now it's time to treat Jennie!

I'm interested (for the same reason as OzCrow).
My wife went everywhere with me on my old VFR
but adamantly refuses to ride pillion on the 'bird.
OzCrow
Yep I'm interested as well. The missus has always complained that the Bird pillion pegs seem to be much higher than the ones on my previous VFR.
XX_Rider
I'd likely be interested depending on the design.
BackStreet
Why not? I'm in.

Hey Crow glad to see you are still alive - haven't seen you posting much lately, even on OzBB icon_confused.gif

Count me in Dave.
Mr_Tfi
I need two sets as well Dave.
Buddy of mine is buying my old XX and his wife started to complain immediately how high the rear pegs are.

If they're less than $50 for the set, I'm in... Saves me milling something...

Yes, I'll probably take a few sets.
Will they work with aftermarket slip-ons, or didn't you figure that out just yet?

BUMP!

Has your head cleared any yet? icon_biggrin.gif Do you have any new updates on the status
of this project? Still very interested when you get around to the brackets.
HANKSXXX
Great idea...
I'm in if they will clear an aftermarket muffler.

I had a friend make me a set of passenger highway pegs. The pic is not the greatest but you get the idea. They bolt on to the bottom of a set of remade front pegs. That way when you get to your destination you can remove them if you want.

oldgeezer
Dave, any word on a final design decision yet?
Anxiously awaiting an updated report and pics
if and when they become available. Please advise.
Thanks.
davesXX01
Tried a couple of designs and still not happy. Still working on it though.
ShoreBird
I am in - like most depending on cost and design.

Thanks

Im going to have to back out of this deal. My Bird is up FS, so it wouldn't make sense to buy them now. Thanks though and good luck finding the right design!
wantxx
I would be in for a set. Also want a set for the front Can you save a set for the front till the pillion ones are made? That way I only have to deal with shipping once. Thanks Gord
Timujin
I was planning on getting a set of your front ones anyway, can I get both at the same time? I'm 6'3" and my girlfriend is 5'8", so they would certainly be more comfortable for the both of us.
Rider99XX
Depending on cost I might be interested.
cbrbear
I am interested in a set as long as they dont look rediculous and I can use my gilles passenger pegs on them. Folding up or not doesnt matter to me, more important would be ease of installation and removal.
G-Man
Count me in for 1 pair.

Any update? I'm interested

How do you guys not scrape your pegs with lowering brackets?

Mine scrap, not in the twisties, but when cornering around town on off camber turns.

That why I'm only interested in passenger pegs. They must all be big squids with huge chicken strips icon_lol.gif

jk.. I think it has more to do with riding style and suspension settings/mods

Get off the bike more in the turns and let your knee scrape first. eusa_whistle.gif

Are your pegs scraping or the feelers attached to the pegs? I took the feelers off when I put the lowering brackets on. Peg is about the same height now as the feelers were before.
shanesublett
I'm in for a set. . . .if I don't run across any more expensive local gvnmnt charities. eusa_whistle.gif How do you scrape a peg? I got maybe 1/4" of chicken on my rear & none on front. . .. eusa_eh.gif Never touched knee or peg. Did remove my feelers w/the lwr front brackets tho.
Keith
Now that this subject has bubbled to the top again, I wonder if Dave has any updates
on this project? Have you had any time to work on a design? If so, how does it look?
Keith
Bump. Any progress on these? Still very interested.

Tried a couple of designs but nothing good to report, sorry all, kinda fell to the back burner.

Rider peg lowering brackets are still available though icon_biggrin.gif
