If you have an X11 CCT kicking around and want to part with it, please let me know.
I've got a cct rattle that doesn't seem to be solved by a standard CCT and want to cover all the angles before panicking.

Mikey gets first dibs... But I, too, am looking for an X-11 CCT. My "Double Green Dot" CCTs start to rattle when replaced after about 5k miles or so and I'm getting tired of replacing them. I really don't want to deal with a "manual" CCT. I had replaced the stock one with an X-11 CCT on my original XX, and 50k miles later it was still quiet.

Before you go through the hassle, try one more...This worked for me. Maybe a fluke, but worth one more try...
Everybody orders the the lifter set..which is part #..06140-MAT-315. This comes as a kit with the gasket and washers.
If you look in the DEALER fiche..it says that this set is for 98, 99, and 00 XX's.
I ordered part #...14520-MAT-E21 which says its for 01, 02, and 03 XX's. It comes with only the tensioner.I installed this one, rode it for 8000 miles with no rattling.
Worth a try...

Good thought Mike.
I thought the same thing over two years ago and had Honda Directlines Owner, a friend of mine, do the research and sent out some email inquiry's only to find out that the Lifter itself is the same item from Honda just a different part number due to the way it is packaged and sold.

The kit i have was from a group buy of the X11 cct. The part # at the time 14520-mcc-601 Gasket # 14523-mal-a00
These numbers are on the original packages and unopened in bubble wrap.

I'm snagging it either way. If I happen to have two of the same, fine. Obviously I'm chewing through them. If I luck out and get the geniuine X11, then I've got a second as a backup. Either way I'm smiling!
And the combined cost is CHEAPER than the OEM here locally.

Well like I said I wasnt sure if I just got a "good one" or not. After 2 Blackbirds, @ 40000 miles between them, and probably 6 tensioners, That one was the quietest.
