Just installed a set of EBC HH pads on the XX. Have done this numerous times and don't remember ever having this issue. When I tighten the axle the rotor makes contact on the inside pad. Enough that I can feel it when rolling the bike in neutral. Has this happened to anyone else. Should I be looking for something i'm missing? I reomoved the wheel and made sure everything wwas Ok and it seemed to be. Put the rear wheel back on with the same result. I'm sposed to leave tomorrow on a cross country vacation so any help now would be welcome.

Does the calper "float" as it should? It's mounted on two pins that are covered by rubber boots, these pins, or whatever you want to call them, slide in and out of their mounts to keep the caliper centered on the rotor. With the wheel off it should move laterally a bit with very little effort.

IIRC, you've got JJP's old bike? At that milage those pins, and the grease that was once on them, may need a little attention.

Yes I have JJP's old bike and those pins did need a little attention. Thanks very much for the help. It's all better now.
