I may be dredging up an old topic, but maybe having the topic combined might stir up some controversy?

1) anybody using a scott oiler www.actionstation.com or a hawkeoiler www.hawkeoiler.com or http://www.superblackbird.com/hawk1.cfm ?

2) Hawke quotes the following:
QUOTE
1) Fill the oil reservoir with oil. I use Mobil 1 15/50 or Mobil 1 90wt. rear axle oil. The heavier wt. oils are not as easily thrown off the chain by centrifugal force. Also, the synthetic oil seems to penetrate the orings and crevices better. This reduces the amount of oil needed to be fed.

15/50 oil for your chain? will this help prevent rust as well?

imho, i'm in favor of controlling the dispense rate...

any other loobing systems out there?

Trolling, are we ? :poke:

I've got a Scottoiler, and I for the most part just use the Scottoil recommended. However, it doesn't leave the swingarm looking very pretty. I don't mind, though, because the chain's only needed adjusting twice in 14k miles.
