My HeliBars were still angled down a little too much for my liking. Take the grips and switches and master cylinders off. Put masking tape on the grip area.. take a piece of 1" pipe about 3 ft. long and slip it over the taped area and gently bend the bar upwards. I raised the ends by 1 inch each side. There were no marks/ creases or broken welds on the bars after this. They are more comfortable now and the vista cruise still clears the Givi screen. Also no problems with hose or cable lengths. I used a level on the flat filler ring on the tank as a ref. point..then set the pipe across the bars and adjusted the upward bend until the level bubble was in the same position it was on the tank. My garage floor is not level so I could not measure off of the floor.

I have given thought to doing exactly that. You almost have me doing it but with my luck I'll snap a weld. :cry:

Do you have the small "window" where you can look at the fork tube through the Heli or not?

I think mine is the older design with the window.

Not sure where you mean "window". The bars are solid from the grip end all the way to the cylindrical fork end with the pinch bolts. It looks like there is some extra material welded on from the cylindrical part up to the straight grip tube.
I have a mig welder and was willing to paint if somthing went wrong. If that suits you...go for it. You can find a weld shop around you...if a weld breaks. In my case it did not even come close to braking...it bent easier than I thought it would.
