Last weekend, I had the chance to see the GENUINE Honda heated grips that my brother installed on his ST1300.

Too bad that Honda doesn't make a kit this nice for the XX because the heat controller unit for the XX looks like crap

These are the way to go:

Dual Stars have two heating elements in each foil....high and low. No resistors to mount. You also get to use whatever grip you'd like, unlike units like Hotgrips.

I think having continously adjustable grip temps are overkill....like this Honda electronic controller. You either want your grips at "roast" if it's really cold outside....or at "warm". KISS.

Oh yeah, and at $29 the price works too. These really came in handy on the way home from NEXXT yesterday.....43º F and mucho fog.

I have yet to find a heated grip that feels good on the hands (they are all too hard). So I used dual-element heated inserts under my gel grips, best of both worlds. They are $27 from heeters.com. Details are on the site in the mods section.
