Hi,

This winter I am upgrading my suspension. Right now Im thinking Ohlins rear and Race-Tech fork springs and the Jaws uk bar riser with adjustable pre-load. Any-one with comments and suggestions it would be appreciated.

The Ohlins lists the shock for the 2000 as the same as the carbed birds, with a different part number for 2001 on. Any one able to confirm that the suspension had some minor changes starting in 2000?

PM Helvet. I think that is the correct spelling of his name.

I believe there was some changes but not sure exactly when or what year.

Best bet is to speak with Ohlins or Penski

It's not so much the suspension that has changed in 2001, it's the battery-box (or whatever you call it in English) and the surroundings of the shock-top that has changed. The replacement shocks for the old models will no longer fit the later models (no room), so the changed the replacement shocks.
I know of several shock-manufacturers who have different models for the years after 2001.
