Hello. Got a question. Purchased a 2000 CBR1100 last week. Finally got it out for a 50 mile jaunt after only doing around the neiborhood test drives during the hunt. It is powerful and handles great, but I was bothered by one thing.
I thought my legs were going to go up in flames, the frame and fairing got hotter than hell. You could not put your hand on the frae where it passes in front of your legs. The temperature guage gage was in the "normal" region. The bike has Two Bros slip ons and was reportedly remapped.

Is this the nature of the beast?

Thanks

Answer- Yes it is, useful in the colder weather but a bitch in summer :???:

yes, this is normal.

one thing you may want to check though is the map, if it's mapped extra lean at certain points, it will run hotter there and you can back it off, if you want

although the heat doesn't bother me that much thru thick leather pants, i'm already sweating
