I'm 6'3" 200lbs, I'm trying to find which bars would better my riding experience. Heli-bars or VFR bars. I've ridden a newer FZ1000 and think it has a wonderful position, so anything close to that would be great. Thanks

The VFR bars are more level, higher and pulled back. They also look better IMO and are cheaper.
All in all one of the best things I have done to the Bird!

I like my VFR bars too. They are comfortable and I think they look better than the Heli's. I even raised mine about 3/4" on the fork tubes.

Here's some pictures of them:

I just got my VFR bars from Ron Ayers. That, and DualStar grip heaters. Looking forward to doing this mod.

Don (my husband) first had the HeliBars and didn't like them, so took them off. He got a pair of VFR bars about 2 months ago and is MUCH happier with them. It's not gonna feel like a FZ1, but it's better than the stock bars.

Edit: BTW, we printed out the Ron Ayers form showing how much they charge for the bars (using the shopping cart part of their website), brought it to the bike shop we use, and they matched the price with no problem.

Could someone give a little more detailed info so I know I am getting the right VFR bars :)

They need to be from the newest VFR 02-04.

Another option. TBR Z3 bars. 2 3/4 rise

VFR bars _definately!_

They are very comfortable, look like they were designed
for the bike, easy to install, and work nicely with things
like the throttlemiester..
