Holy crap is all I gotta say!!!! While messing with my tank, see other thread, I decided to do the shim mod. Best $12 I ever spent on the bike. Cost me that much cause I bought an inexpensive vernier caliper from Lowes. I already had the washers laying around. Installed the shim to a thinkess of three washers, 5.678, and MAN makes a hell of difference. Dont ask me how just does; I dont pretend to understand the geometry of steering and suspension but the bike literally falls into turns.

I highly recommend it.

I grabbed a couple washers from work that equaled up to 5.33 mm and threw them on. Awsome mod... to do..
