Might as well put it in here....
Post your name, pounds to lose and how many you have lost....copy and paste and change when you weigh in. This is a great motavator, and support system. I used the info from the "other" thread for this. If you dont want to be in this...copy paste take your name off, If there are any mistakes, copy paste and correct....if you want to join...copy paste add your name to the list.

I'm in.........Lord knows I need all the motivation I can get!!! Have put on 15 lbs just since holidays......30 lbs. in last 16 months since I got my student engineer card!!! icon_redface.gif icon_eek.gif

How often are we going to "officially" weigh in Anna? 'Cause my weight fluctuates several pounds daily

The best bet, is to go weekly. Some people weigh in daily and at the end of the week get an average....but that is too much trouble, and I dont recommend that because the little scale fluctuations will frustrate the hell out of you.

I usually weigh myself on Fridays....and if Im feeling daring,,,,or feel like Ive lost some, I'll weigh in.

Weigh yourself only in the morning....after you pee...you weigh the least in the morn. You weigh the most in the evening.

Forgot to add. You can post a loss whenever you want....if you find that you lost a half pound....post it! Any loss is progress...some people have scales that measure ounces...if you lost 4 oz....post it. Any loss wether its big or small is progress and recording it will give you the satisfaction of an acomplishment!

I would join the fray but I don't expect to lose much more weight if any. I will post my day 1, 30, 60, 90 pics though just to keep me motivated. I have about two weeks before I hit day 90. I haven't had the most amazing results but there is some change. I'm ready to finish up this program and start doing some heavier strength training to build some muscle.

When I got out of the Corps, I was 220. Ten years later I'm 318. I'd love to get down to 220 again, but dunno if that's likely.

I might as well get some support with this. Got cleared to go back to working out by the MD friday. Today's the first day in the gym, and on the treadmill in 8 months. AND, I'm going to try and run the 1/2 marathon in Nashville at the end of April with JuXXtin. (Although that buff dude is going to do the whole thing- Go Justin) So, it usually has come off pretty fast in the past. Put me down for 50 lbs. by TBME. 15 lbs. in the 30 days. (Yes, it's short, but I'm seriously over load limit, and it came off really fast the first time this happened and stays off as long as I'm working out.)

How are you adding weight loss to your training? I find both heavy dieting and excercise at the same time tough.

Yup. Let's discuss some details as the date approaches...

Currently, I am only training for the half marathon, so I am closely watching what I am eating (I am on Weight Watchers) and running. The benefit of Weight Watchers is that they give you extra points for working out and I track everything online so it's cheap and easy. However, I do agree that it does get VERY difficult to diet while training hard. When I am training for a marathon (I've done 2) or a longer distance triathlon, then I don't limit myself. I cut out a lot of foods that my body doesn't agree with like fast food and pop, but I still eat pretty much what I want because I am burning so many calories. Basically, I would recommend keeping a good balance of food intake, watch your portions, drink PLENTY of water, and try to eat a little slower. Remember that you can't be on a low-carb diet because as an endurance athlete your body needs the carbs. Sorry for the long winded answer. I hope it helps, but to sum it all up - I haven't exactly figured it out yet either!!! icon_wink.gif

Holy racing schedule! Good luck with all of them. I was a cross country runner in high school, but dont run anymore, I did attend alot of races before I had so many kids! icon_lol.gif But always was there with my massage table giving a warm up pre-race and post race massages to the atheletes.

Yup. I have been doing triathlons and running races for the last 3 years or so, but this will be the first summer where I don't have any other obligations, so I decided to go all out! I will have plenty of time to train and I'm so excited!!! icon_biggrin.gif

Good luck with the weight in. I'll be waiting to see if I'm still running in first... icon_razz.gif

I'd love to drop 10-12 Lbs before June(wedding). I don't loose weight easily at all. I can get though the day eating one small meal( I know, I'm supposed to have a bunch of small meals) as it is, but I'm just about to start a workout program. 3 days of weights and 2 days of cardio(swimming laps). Unless I get the workout program going, I'll never drop any weight.
At 5'11"&1/2 ....210lbs.... loose 34" waiste.........44 inch chest........17.5" neck.

I have not been under 200 lbs in the last 12 years. And when I did dip below 200, I had the flu and had not eaten in almost a week. If I have any success, I'll post the results.

Eating like that can cause your metabolism to basically shut down. You need to eat consistently to keep your metabolism from going into conservation mode. Eat small meals and have small healthy snacks in between. You need to watch calories but at the same time you need to make sure you are eating enough. This will be especially important when you start working out.

Down 2 lbs this morning just from eating better the last few days (less junk and not late). Too busy with all my spare time in the garage lately, but have to get started running and to gym if I'm going to lose what I want to lose.

6:00am the 24th I weighed 230 with PJ pants.

Woo-F'n-Hoo 7.6 lbs down in a week. Next week will be tougher as my weight approaches my goal.

Kind of late into this but I was 300 begining of January now 286.

Just changing my eating habits (don't eat everything in sight at meals) I'm not even working out. I might start riding (bicycle icon_wink.gif )when it warms up.

I'm not even setting a goal, just going to keep losing as fast as it goes.

Activity this week..........played basketball for better part of an hour Monday night in my son's "Parent/Son Scrimmage" for their last practice of the season. Ran couple miles (1/2 hour) 3 or 4 times this week.
