I'm just wondering if the 2001 xx from Japan Honda, manufactured for Europe is restricted in any way. And if so, how can i de-retrict it.

I don't think they are restricted but you might want to try the UK forums as most here are from North America.

Isn't france restricted to 100hp, similar for bikes imported to germany (but not domestic market?) - or maybe that was just the cats?


Either way, why not look up the country vehicle regulations where you are and see what you can find - cyprus = greece? Can't imagine they'd have anything special!

UK is not. I believe France is, and there may be others. I somehow remember restrictions for the AfriKans as well.


I would get a quick dyno pull done, and see what your numbers are. If its over 130hp, its doubtful its restricted.

Why don't you e-mail your VIN number to Honda Europe. They should be able to tell you if it is.
No restricted official imports in Greece (apart from catalytic converter). Never heard for a restricted parallel import Bird as well but it is possible if it comes from Germany or France.



Greece is different country than Cyprus. Cyprus just joined EU so now they have to conform with EU regulations.
