I put on a set of Hella optilux fogs ... Worked great for 3+month.. Then they dies.. Removed the relay and tested.. They worked.. Sent out for another relay.. INstalled the new relay and NO DICE...
Can I just go to Radio Shit and pick up a relay that will switch 100w bulbs.. ??I guess I would have to cut the factory harness and wire up the new RS relay,, right?
Do I have to worry about voltage and amp draw differences?

Any standard 30A auto relay will work.
But if the new relay still fails, are you sure that the trigger wire and all other wires to the relay are good?

Standard relay, used for everything and anything. One wire to batt, one wire to lights, one wire to ground and one wire to on/off switch. Cake.
