Reading back through the previous posts, I can't tell whether the new 2002 XX's come with iridium plugs in them. I'm at 9k miles, and was going to change them, but since it's a bit of work, if I don't need to because they're already there, I won't bother for a while. If the 2002 comes with platinum in it, I'll go ahead and do it.

Anyone know?

The '02 comes with iridiums from the factory,as stated in the owner's manual.I'm not looking at it now but tend to remember service intervals as inspect at 11K and replace at 32K.This seems awful long and that is why I ordered replacements yesterday,I am at 12K now.I tried O'Reillys (sp?) but they were unable to order through NGK so I ended up going to my local Honda dealer at $13.00 each!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Iridium plugs should be able to go the 32k with no problem. I'm putting them in mine today or tomorrow. I'll go do an EGA test when they've got 12-ish on them to see if they're still holding up. The Platinums are well shot by then.
