I have a 98 and I wasn't sure if I need to adjust the suspension some how for my weight and/or when I add a passenger. I'm not sure if I know how to if I do need to. Let me know thanks.

I don't adjust mine for riding 2 up.

1. it's too much of a pain in the ass

2. you're riding slower or at least you should be

I took my wife out for the first time and it made a noise I haven't heard before. I wander what the max weight limit is on that bike.

GVWR - curb weight = 384 pounds. Not much, I don't worry about it, just carry a passenger.

I would set the rear spring preload (and front) for 1 to 1 and 1/2" of sag with just you onboard then leave it alone with a passenger.

I got the max weight by 50 lbs. It didn't make the best noise when we were riding which sucks; because now I don't want to ruin the bike, but I would like to share this with her.

I haven't adjusted anything yet, and I have no noises when I ride two-up.. I'm 300 lbs, and my wife is 135 lbs.
