I know most of us are running the Avons 45/46   , anyone try the Avon 49/46 combo :?: . alittle more traction from the front tire can't hurt. the Avon rep said only about 20 percent less mileage and the tire are compatable with each other
By the way my front (45) will go over 10,000 miles

It's on my 'to do' list after the suspension upgrade. Before that, it's kinda pointless for me.

That's the combo that I just put on, have not put a hell of a lot of time on the bike since so can't tell you anything at this point.

I haven't run the 49, but probably will next time. I used to run the 39 and 36 together, as I disliked the 35. I actually got LESS miles from the 35! I was getting close to 15k from the 39, and it looks like the 45 will not even make that. Odd. Maybe I'm riding it too hard and getting some slip which causes more wear?
