I concur. They are crap. But last year I was riding in PA and my battery shit the bed. On Sunday afternoon there was nothing around but Wal-Mart. So in goes the Wal-Mart battery. Lasted till the end of the season, but that was it.

I'am on my third in two weeks first two after i filled them with acid i took them to the local advance auto for a complete charge during the test of 5 minutes test said to replace, but the third i filled with acid then brought my own trickle charger and sofar lights are brighter then i remember so maybe you hav'ta get a couple bad ones to get a good one,and charge it fully yourself.

The problem with Walmart so called battery is that they are not really maintenance free, electrolite level goes down if you ride a lot in hot weather, battery is toast before you realize that. That`s how the first one died, level was way low.At that time I opened the second one ,sure enough it was low too,but not as bad as the first one,I`ve filled up with distilled water,it lasted one more year.
