Full Version: lowered bird and undertail kit

I have lowered my bird about 2" in the back and I wondering if the undertail kit from mototek will work or will it just hit the tire. Does anyone have any experience with this?

Thanks,

It will hit the tire, some guys have had issues with the stock height, so at -2", you're pretty much sure to hit it, unless you weight 80lbs or something.

Out of curiosity, did you do anything to the front?
Wario
not only will it hit, but it can (mine did...) crack your rear tail fairing too. I wont do a motech again. Plus, the tail lights get filthy and are next to impossible to clean. I went back to pseudo-stock (shortened turn signals, next Im going to integrated tail light).

I lowered it the 2" because I like the lowered look and it got both feet flat on the ground for me.

For the front I didn't do anything.

If you didn't lower the front any, that thing must handle like a truck
