OK I am lazy, I am sure I can look for it but I thought I would just ask.

Picked up a set of plugs just want to confirm they are the correct ones.

cr9ehix-9, I know on warchilds site he is showing cr9ehvx-9. I have an 2002 if that make a differnece.

What I postulate to be true:
Newer bikes take cr9ehvx-9

Found the correct one's exchanged them, the new one are $16 each vs. $10 each.

The vx plug I believe was platinum and is replaced now by the ix plug.
Newer models take the imra9a-9h...expensive boy.

The CR9EHVX-9 are the old platinum plugs, which were factory issue when I wrote that article 5 years ago.

Then the Irridiums came out the following year, and the version you want is indeed the NGK CR9EHIX-9 spark plug.

The CR9EHIX-9 is OK to use on a '97 right? Just the irriduim is the only difference, and they last longer?

nevermind my Q... searched NGK's website and found that it's the right one for '97-00... but what is the difference between the Iriduim plug on the '97 and the one for the '03 that costs twice as much?
