is it normal to have metalic particals in the oil when you change it ,this is a new motor?

That would depend on how much metal your talking about and where it was. Sometimes small particles can be found in the filter on the first oil change but none should be in the oil as you drain it from the engine. Are you sure the container you drained your oil into was clean before you started?

That's called break-in. As long as there's nothing big in it, you're fine.

If this is the first oil change on a new factory engine it's leftover machineing particles...Normal.
