where is the wind guard located in the upper?
is it needed? if so how does it instal?
also can you use a motorcycle floor jack on a xx seams it would be on the oil pan?

Depends on what you are doing with the bike. I wouldn't plan to lift it off the ground. If you are talking about a traditional "Harley" style floor jack, then NO...it won't work.

You need to do a little fabrication, but the instructions are pretty straightfoward, and it works a charm. I haven't done it, but others have, and I've seen the instructions....it doesn't look too bad if you've got a little mechanical skill. If, for instance, you can't reattach your watcband to your watch, then I'd look for someone else to install a cruise control.

from what i can see in the service manual i think it's under the gages
and the parts are listed in the microflich on the ron ayers web sight
