I was browsing ebay and I came across this http://www.pacmax.com/catalog/product_info...&products_id=35 Would this actully save anything in the event of a chain braking or is it just a bling factor object?
Now I remeber hearing from some of the local busa guys with turbos that they put something on there bike so if the chain breaks it does not tear up the engine case. I was reading some of the back threads and I was wondering if there is any protection we can add so if the chain ever did break for one reason or another it wouldnt tear so much up.

That guard is all bling, bling. The stock one and that one are just guards to keep you feet and pants out of the chain.

The guard you're talking about, the one that keeps a broken chain for eating you cases, looks like this.

It actually mouns inline with the chain and if the chain breaks, it will take the brunt of the chain flinging impact and will direct the chain out and away from the cases.

Thsi one is actually for a 400EX ATV.
