I just installed a set of slip on's, used. It appears when the original owner installed them he did not line them up, or maybe I should say he did not line them up the way I would like them. Question is how can I break the seal from the mid pipe to the cans without damaging either of them. I am assuming the original owner used what was supplied from two bro's when he installed them.
Involute
I believe the only real seal from the mid pipe to the can is High Temp RTV. You should just be able to grab a hold of each and start working it loose. May be it's a two person job though. I'm not sure. The ones I bouhgt used were not assembled when I got them.

My XX had the dual C2 X-metal Two Bros oval slip-ons. When I took them off the bike one of the midpipes came out of the can with a little force, the other was much harder to get out, but I still did it. There wasn't any kind of mechanical locking, but I think Involute is right about the adhesive.

Maybe you should try twisting the can around the mid pipe to break the seal?

let it soak in real good and twist and pull, if that don't work maybe try a rubber mallet and give it alittle extra help.
